Sam did not start with a render. He started with paper, names, and rules that made people shout.

When we needed to play the game hundreds of times, we used every shortcut we had — including AI — to mock up cards so a table of people could tell Thunder Ape from The Forgotten God. That was never the finished product. It was scaffolding.

Scaffolding comes down.

We are now looking for illustrators to draw the real set. Students at TAFE and art school. Emerging artists who want a published card in a folio. Anyone who can make a chaotic arena feel handmade.

If you have seen the site and thought “that looks generated,” you are looking at the prototype layer. Fair. The next sentence matters more: we are collaborating with artists for the edition that goes to print.
